OK, I see. Billions of kings ruling over remade clones of dead people.
Jurasic Park on stereoids!?
i am a little confused, i have to admit it is laziness/nausea, i cannot make myself read the latest rag that spews out the new shite, but my question is, what is the future role of the rest of the anointed ?.
if the fds, which now consists of a handful of men, is going to be "appointed over all jesus' belongings" are the rest of the anointed not only redundant now, but into eternity too ?.

here is an interesting speech by daniel dennett.
i thought it was a balanced and honest talk,.
bringing out both sides of this purposed plausible suggestion.
As I understand it he is not talking of the beliefs of the religion, but of the cultural/social aspects of it. Religion has played a huge cultural and social role in our societies during history. It has created a lot of traditions as well.
I think Daniel Dennets point is to discuss how to create a secular culture with secular traditions that have a social function, in the same way that religious ones had before.

"The bible is clear that all who are "overcomers" will rule as kings and priests with Jesus."
Millions/billions of kings ruling over whom?
good afternoon jwn... .
i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

Simon: "
"This is going to fester until someone is named and shamed. I see no reason not to - they committed a huge breach of trust and I don't understand why the main concern seems to be to protect their privacy when they didn't show others the same consideration."
Of course it will. If the AAWA want to restore some of their credibility, the only thing to do is to delete the group from Facebook, and restart it with maximum security. No possibilities for individuals to add new members.
I don't understand why they didn't do it at once. As Juan Viejo stated, it looked like there were WT-apologist in the group. They could be outing names, of course, but also sabotage the actions and intentions of the AAWA.group.
So, there is only one thing to do. Delete the group, and restart it i a more secure way.
i'm interested in how we all view the bible?.
let me start by offering three different options:.
a.. a book that at best may have cultural or historical interest but that is it.. b.. a divinely inspired guide that i consult to make important life choices.
Lost: If God really exist, he surely had found a better and effective way to communicate with mankind. But, probably he/she's not interested in communicating. Otherwise he should have got himself better PR-people.
Ok, OK, I know we have some self-proclaimed "prophets" among us at this very community. Aswell as the Messiah.
huge amounts of compartmentalization to coup with cognitive dissonance.
i'm sure 90% of all readers agree with me when i say this new light is just a fantasy being played out in the minds of the governing body who originate it and in the gullible rank and file who uncritically accept it.
though out the wt study designed to explain the new light we see rampant compartmentalization.
Frankie: I find it interesting speculating about the psychological state of the GB. Don't you think they all know that all JW-teaching is just plain bullshit, and that they are in to have a comfortable life with some status (narcissistic) in the organisation? Outside the org they would be just nobody. now they are managing the organisation mainly in a damage-control mode.
But I'm not sure. You could be right. If they are that delusional they could be really dangerous.

One great eye-opener is Pauls writings in the 1 Corinthians chapter 7:
27 Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released. Are you free from such a commitment? Do not look for a wife. 28 But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.
29 What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not; 30 those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep; 31 those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.
Paul tells the christians in Corinth not to get married and have families, because the world was going to its end. This is exactley the same cultish bullshit we are familiar to from the JW. This was written some 1950 years ago. We can just speculate about how many of the first christians that were fooled by that doomsday expections. Christianity was a doomsday cult since it's beginning.
it is not a cult!!!
if you weren't mesmerized by the internet since ya know it never lies!
read the bible how do they go against it.
" It's not family shunning you it's you shunning them disrespecting them hurting them. "
It's not the first time I've heared this. It's really interesting. I think a psychologist would name this projection.
Of course every JW knows about the shunning, it's very obvious. Nevertheless they never will admit publically that they shun people, but in certain cases it looks like they never admit it to themselves.

"Friends of mine who were not part of the group could see the group name on my timeline, though they could not see the group itself."
Are you sure? In that case the group settings are not set to the highest level of security. I had a talk with Bo, and according to him it should be at top security level. But I don't understand why on earth they changed the settings (according to Juan Viejo) to an open group. That's like giving 1300 names to the WTS. How do they think??

I don't think we will see those symptoms within the GB. They are acting in a rational way, tightening their grip and doing damage control.
But, among believers, definitley yes. It would be disasterous if they reacted emotionally on every change in teaching. So, yes, I think we can observe a lot of isolation/compartementalization.
In the long run, this probably will result in some symptoms, maybe depressive.....feelings of emptyness etc. If the cognitive dissonance ( in a way a defence mechanism) can't protect/defend the beleivers self-images this in the end can maybe be a psychological "time-bomb". Hmmm...I hope I'm wrong.
